Abstract

The article presents information that the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) is a serine which forms different multiprotein complexes with diverse subunit compositions. It informs that mTOR is a key regulator for cell growth and metabolism and its improper activation has been linked to carcinogenesis. It mentions that the polycythaemia vera, essential thrombocythaemia and primary myelofibrosis are the BCR-ABL1-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms.
