Testing Consent.

The article discusses routine testing and the issue of informed consent when it comes to pregnancy management. The changing system of appointments is leading to screening for pregnant women earlier and earlier, which is not advisable as women are not being given information despite screenings. Women are being tested for infections that if positive can have huge implications for their future lives, with a total disregard for the impact this may have and no notion of informed consent.
