- The article discusses the potential health dangers of artificial dyes or colors. Artificial dyes are found in many consumer products including food, personal care products and beauty products. There have been claims that artificial colors are toxic, carcinogens and can contribute to attention-deficient hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). However, some dyes are still approved for use in the U.S.
