Abstract
- This article discusses the mining activities at the Eagle Ford shale mining site in South Texas, which was discovered in 2008 by the Petrohawk Energy Corp. Topics include the Eagle Ford location's features that make it an ideal hydrocarbon province, a decline in shale mining rig counts at the site as of June 2012, and a study from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) and Bentek Energy LLC that revealed the spudding of 856 additional wells in the area.
