Abstract
- The article looks at the works of the Solar Electric Light Co. (SELCO) in providing solar systems to poor households, small businesses, and community projects in India. It presents a brief historical overview of the establishment of the company, which was launched by Handattu Harish Hande and renewable energy champion Neville Willams. It notes that SELCO products are not subsidised, despite of the benefits it provided the government.
