Abstract

The author discusses the lamination process he uses when woodturning "mokume-kami" or wood-grained paper. He talks about his preference for using the West System of epoxy resin to adhere the paper to a waste block due to its durability, clarity and working properties. He describes some of the steps in working the material once the resin has fully cured. He also addresses how mokume-kami will cut like an even blend of wood and plastic.
