Abstract

The paper, with Fantawild Adventure Theme Park as a case study and adopting queuing theory in operational research, measures rational daily capacity of different items in the park according to tourists' tolerable longest waiting time, calculates rational daily capacity according to the proportional relation of tourists' waiting time, obtains rational yearly capacity according to the proportion of peak season days and tourist flows and makes a comparative analysis of the results and original design capacity. In the light of demand and supply contradictions and psychological feature of tourists' waiting, we propose implementing reposition mechanism during slack or peak seasons, introducing item spatial evacuation mechanism, initiating item capacity control management system and constructing queuing management network system in an attempt to offer references for the capacity management studies of theme parks.
