Abstract

The article discusses the views of several authors on the paper by Deniz Igan and colleagues on the role of lobbying in the financial sector on the financial crisis in the U.S. It cites the proposal of Frederic Mishkin on the role of bigger firm in creating a correlation between lobbying and risk-taking. It also mentions the examples offered by Xavier Gabaix on the potential effect of lobbying and the comments of Daron Acemoglu on the identification issued in the result of the paper.
