Abstract: The article presents information on the economic and political conditions in Bulgaria and offers an outlook for 2012-2016. Bulgaria will be under close scrutiny from the European Union (EU) as it continues to demand judicial reform. Inflation is expected to decline to 2.2 percent in 2012 while real gross domestic product (GDP) growth will weaken to 0.7 percent during the year.
