Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the chemical constituents of the flower of Fritillaria (F.) thunbergii, which has been used as an important crude drug for its antitussive, antiasthmatic, and expectorant effects. The study uses the mass and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra to identify the compounds of the flower. Results show that heptadecanol, isorhamnetin, and dihydroapigenin are some of the chemicals found in the flower.
