Abstract
- The article presents the author's view on the role of skin antiseptic for complications related to central neuraxial block (CNB). As per the guidelines published by the Queensland Health Department on surgical skin antisepsis, the risk for neurotoxicity is increased by using solution with more than 0.5 percent of chlorhexidine. Author mentions that the povidone-iodine works slow as compared to chlrohexidine.
