Protein Kinase Inhibitors.

Over the last few decades, scientists have begun to unravel the molecular basis of cancer. This understanding has led to many new treatment targets. New compounds designed to specifically inhibit these targets offer great promise. Trastuzumab, imatinib, sorafenib and sunitinib are all examples of targeted inhibitors that have significantly advanced the treatment of certain malignancies.
