- The article focuses on the methyl methacrylate (MMA) market in the United States as of June 4, 2012. It states that MMA contracts for May changed little from April with health demand and a softening cost of feedstock. It mentions lower costs for refinery grade propylene should result in reduced prices for acetone which may reduce MMA prices in June or July. It comments that the coatings market continues to be healthy but an earlier-than-normal start of the season could lead to reduced demand.
