Outbreak column 2: norovirus, our perennial infection control winter challenge.

The author highlights four articles: two outbreak reports, an epidemiological review and a recent insight paper, on noroviruses. The paper provides latest literature on genetic information of noroviruses. The first norovirus outbreak report presents four epi curves and the other 'aeroplane outbreak' report conveys key messages to healthcare workers about norovirus survivability, while the epidemiological review showed that outbreaks in larger facilities had lower attack rate than smaller ones.
