Birding in The National Parks: Bald Eagles No Longer A Ghost Bird in the National Parks.

Abstract

The article presents the author's insights on bald eagles which are no longer taken for granted in the national parks. The author says that bald eagles already exist in 46 states in the U.S. and nest in at least 45 of the said states. He states that the number parks where eagles are found, which are listed by National Parks Conservation Association, is conservative. He adds that 75 Bald Eagle nests were spotted in Voyageurs National Park, Minnesota last spring. Moreover , bald eagle was made as official endangered species in 1973.
