Abstract
- In this article, the author discusses the proprietary rights in human bodily material, the legal rights for possession, control or sale and the limited exception to no property in human tissue rule. The Doodeward exception and several court cases including Jonathan Yearworth and others v. North Bristol NHS Trust, Kate Jane Bazley v. Wesley Monash IVF and Re the Estate of the Late Mark Edwards are also discussed.
