Barriers to and facilitators of colorectal cancer screening in different population subgroups in Adelaide, South Australia.

The article discusses a study to identify and compare barriers to and facilitators of the colorectal cancer (CRC) screening in various cultural groups in South Australia. A qualitative study based on interviews with people of different cultural groups in South Australia was conducted between July 2009 and December 2010. It suggests changes to public communication regarding cancer and screening and for health professionals to help with barriers such as language and fatalistic views on cancer.
