Abstract: The article presents the summary of a report on constitutional issues that may be associated with the U.S. Congress' taxing power or its interstate commerce regulation power with regard to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). It mentions lawsuits challenging the mandate that compels certain individuals to have a minimum level of health insurance. Arguments in related cases heard by the U.S. Supreme Court in March 2012 are also described.
