Abstract
- The article presents a profile of U.S. author John Irving and provides a review of his 2012 book "In One Person," as well as a brief look at previous "Time" reviews for other books by Irving such as "The Cider House Rules," The World According to Garp," and "A Prayer for Owen Meany." Irving's schoolwork at Phillips Exeter Academy and his connection with Canada's political liberalism are also examined. Irving discusses several of the films which have been made based on his books, including "The World According to Garp" starring Glenn Close and Robin Williams.
