FUTURE OF POSTAL BANKING IN THE EMU.

The paper presents issues of postal banking, its origins and evolution up to date. The aim is to propose a scenario for future development of postal banking after creating the common currency in EMU. Two main postal banking models that are discussed are a basis for concluding on possible opportunities and threats for this specific financial services provider. Numerous post outlets and wide client coverage constitute the main advantages that are utilized by this sub-sector.
