Abstract
- The article focuses on the role of physicians in advocating a national suicide prevention strategy in Canada. It states that three national suicide prevention strategies from Ireland, Australia, and Scotland have undergone systematic evaluation, all showed reduction in suicide level. The role of physicians is to be aware in developing effective strategies in suicide prevention that may affect the development of clinical services.
