Abstract

The article focuses on the need of a food processing plant to focus on flexibility to adapt to the trends in the food industry if it want to keep track with the consumer demand and the introduction of new products in the U.S. It notes that breakfast food outperforms the overall performance of the food industry. Also, it mentions that fast food chains are searching for products which conform with the needs of consumers for portability, value, good taste and health.
