Kawasaki disease: a case report and overview of symptoms, signs, investigations and treatment.

Abstract
- A case study of a 3-year-old Caucasian girl, having a medical history of recurrent ear infections, presented with fever, red eyes, swollen red lips and an erythematous rash over genital area, is discussed. She was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease and was given a single infusion of intravenous immunoglobulin of 2 g/kg and oral aspirin 4 times daily, for 10 days. Investigations ruling out other diagnosis, diagnostic criteria, treatment and long term implications are also included.
