Abstract

An interview is presented with Jeff Urban, a marketing executive at beverage company Gatorade and co-founder of a media platform designed for children that covers sports, called "The Whistle." Asked why he saw a need for sports coverage for children, he notes that regular sports programming frequently includes coverage of inappropriate topics such as athletes' and coaches' abusive behaviors. He also discusses where he expects to derive revenue, including advertisements and subscriptions.
