SPRAWOZDANIE Z DZIAŁALNOŚCI ZAKŁADU HISTORII NAUK SPOŁECZNYCH, OŚWIATY I ORGANIZACJI NAUKI IHN PAN W ROKU 2010.

This article is a summary of the activities of the three sections of the Department of Social Studies, Education, and the Organization of Science of the Instytut Historii Nauki (IHN) and Polskiej Akademii Nauk (PAN) in 2010. The author details the research projects of each of the sections of this scholarly department in three separate parts, beginning with the work of the section devoted to scholarship in the field of social studies (manuscript research; studies on the history of Polish and European historiography; studies on the ethnic populations of Siberia; and the work of Jan Heweliusz). Similarly treated are the sections on education (studies on Polish-Russian scientific relations, public education in Lithuanian and Russian lands) and the history of the organization of science (biographies of scientists).
