Abstract: The article presents information on a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) issued by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to declare a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Model CL-600 series airplanes manufactured by Bombardier Inc. The AD has been proposed to install the sensing elements in the wells of main landing gear wheel and protective blankets of wing box surface to detect the bleed air leak from the high pressure ducts. The AD is effective on May 7, 2012.
