Abstract

The article reports on the results of a survey by Great Britain's Health & Safety Executive which revealed that the number of workers who suffered an injury while manual handling has decreased. It states that the statistics which include all types of serious injuries, also showed a downward trend since 2002. It mentions Richard Scott who believes that the results suggest that employers must add more measures to avoid manual handling accidents. Charts depicting the results are also presented.
