Abstract

The article focuses on the role of interpreters for the deaf on individualized education programs (IEPs) in the U.S. According to the U.S. Department of Education an IEP describes the educational program designed to meet the unique needs of children. The parts of an IEP are outlined which include current performance, special education and participation with non-disabled students.
