Abstract
- In this paper we have addressed the most frequent faults in induction machine threephase squirrel-cage, as the broken rotor bars and defects static and dynamic rotor eccentricity. The method of detecting these defects is based on frequency analysis of measurable quantities of the machine. In general we consider the stator current because it is easily measurable, significant when signatures match those on electromagnetic quantities. Despite changes in diagnostic methods, this method of analysis is effective to be used as a diagnostic technique and early detection of operating condition of the machinery in industrial plants. First, a modeling and simulation study on the defect model is presented. The first time we have developed the mathematical model of the machine, and then the simulation results are presented to illustrate the influences of these defects on the operational status of the machine.
