Abstract
- The results of a study employing protocol analysis are compared with the results of earlier questionnaire studies concerning the use of financial and accounting data by financial analysts. In particular, the importance of segment information is demonstrated. The importance of cash flows and of components of earnings was less than in the earlier studies, but earnings per share, return on investment, and liquidity were found important.
