Experimental hantavirus infection in nonhuman primates.

Mild, transient proteinuria and azotemia were produced in three cynomolgus monkeys ( Macaca fascicularis) and a chimpanzee ( Pan troglodytes) following intravenous inoculation with Prospect Hill virus, a hantavirus isolated from meadow voles in the United States.
