The article discusses the regulatory effect of E3 ubiquitin ligase MIB1 on (NF)-κB activation. It notes the impact of MIB1 deficiency in the IκBα level indicating the upregulation of the IκBα level in MIB1-deficient cells. Furthermore, the roles of MIB1 in tumor necrosis factor (TNF)α- or interleukin-1 (IL1)beta-induced gene transcription are explored.
