Assessment of Hatching Traits of Four Different Commercial Broiler Breeder Strains: A Comparison and its Trends.

Abstract
- The article presents a study that compared four commercial broiler breeder strains including Arbor Acer (AA), Hubbard (HB), Hybro and Starbro. The study evaluated egg characteristics, hatchability, infertility and chick weights. It used 160 eggs/strain for measurement of egg characteristics and 600 eggs/strain to compare the hatching traits. It showed AA and HB as having the lowest and highest egg and hatchability compared to all strains. HB was also found having the highest egg weight and hatchability.
