In this paper measured probability distributions of the electron ejection from solids due to bombardment by atomic particles with kinetic energy are compared with theoretical distributions. With regard to the applied measuring parameters, it is shown that best adaption is obtainable by use of one of the suggested theoretical distributions respectively. A heuristic foundation is given for this fact, and the assumption is confirmed that careful measurements of the probability distributions are additional sources of information with regard to the investigation of the atomic particle-induced electron ejection.
