Abstract

The article focuses on stanzaic poetry writing in which poems are divided into separate blocks called stanzas containing same number of lines. It further discusses a no uniform divisions, strophe, derived from techniques of the classical ode. It also discusses Greek and Latin poetry writing with reference to the ode dividation into strophe, antistrophe, and epode. It states that responsion is a determinant of the meter of a poem to find metric ambiguity in a single stanza.
