Abstract
- The article presents the results of a study on the effect of level of fertilization on the competition between Lotus tenuis and Cynodon dactylon both in above and underground soil. The results show that greater fertilizer use efficiency was shown by Cynodon dactylon than Lotus tenuis. The ability of Cynodon dactylon to interact with soil and compete for nutrients and water is more efficient than Lotus tenuis because of its low root hydraulic resistance and high specific root length.
