The Future of Environmental Labelling: US - Tuna II and the Scope of the TBT.

The article presents the Panel Report in the World Trade Organization (WTO) regarding the U.S. measures of importation, marketing and sale of tuna and tuna products. The report is released on September 15, 2011 which expresses concern on the dolphin-safe tuna labelling programme. It is considered to address issues on the scope of the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade. It calls for policymakers to think carefully in how to design their labelling schemes.
