Abstract
- The article discusses the report on the U.S. Internal Revenue System's performance in processing tax returns, delivering refunds and the need to add more self-service tools to assist the taxpayers in filing their taxes and refunds. Suggestions like offering an automated phone helpline as well as automating the taxpayer assistance center/volunteer income tax assistance location telephone lines for returns with benefits exceeding costs are cited.
