Abstract
- The article discusses the crew rest rule released by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in December 2011, noting that the estimated cost for airlines was much lower than the cost which was estimated in September 2010. The article argues that the cost is lower because the FAA excluded cargo carriers, dropped a fatigue training course for pilots, and extended the number of hours allowed.
