Abstract

The article discusses the soybean stocks in the U.S. It states that soybean prices in U.S. were below 14.50 dollars and according to Darrel Goodsays, marketing specialist from University of Illinois, the rates reflects higher South American acreage, large production by other foreign competitors, diminished domestic crush due to less demand from livestock producers, and reduced export demand. It mentions that China has slowed its purchases of U.S. beans in favor of South American soybeans.
