Abstract
- The article reports on the political conditions in Romania as of January 2012. Vasile Blaga of the governing Democratic Liberal Party (DLP), was elected speaker of the Senate on November 28, 2011. According to the article, the government has reiterated that it will take responsibility for proposals to hold parliamentary and local elections in 2012.
