Distribution pattern of loaches (Teleostei: Cobitoidea) in the River East Tiaoxi, China.

The article presents research which assessed the distribution patterns of Teleostei: Cobitoidea or loaches that are found in the River East Tiaoxi in China. The researchers performed a macroscale analysis of the geographical distribution of the species which they have segregated based on longitudinal alterations along the river course. The detailed evaluation found that two Vanmanenia species, V. stenosoma, L. tchangi and V. pingchowensis stayed in the lotic habitats while C. sinensis and C. laterimaculata preferred the lentic habitats.
