Abstract
- The interaction cross-sections (σ<subscript>I</subscript>) of neutron-rich Na isotopes, <superscript>23-35</superscript>Na, on C target have been measured at 250A MeV using the RI beam factory (RIBF) at RIKEN. Mass dependence of σ<subscript>I</subscript> for <superscript>27-35</superscript>Na suggests monotonic growth of the skin thickness. The root-mean-square nuclear matter radii (r̃<subscript>m</subscript>) of <superscript>23-35</superscript>Na were deduced from observed σ<subscript>I</subscript> via a Glauber-type calculation. These r̃<subscript>m</subscript> are in a good agreement with the theoretical prediction by relativistic mean field model (RMF). r̃<subscript>m</subscript> of <superscript>33-35</superscript>Na were determined for the first time.
