Abstract

Traditional database systems can only adequately cope with perfect data .It handles data, which is crisp and precise in nature. However our reasoning and decision-making process is uncertain, imprecise, inapplicable and vague in nature. Fuzzy techniques are the mathematical tool and most possibly the best for treating uncertain, vague, or subjective information. This paper gives an insight into the world of uncertainty and the concept of fuzziness in databases and the ways of handling the fuzzy queries to databases [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
