Abstract
- The effect of throughflow and Coriolis force on convective instabilities in micropolar fluid layer heated from below for free-free, isothermal and micro-rotation free boundaries is investigated. Calculations are made using a lower order Galerkin approximation to solve the eigenvalue problem for stationary instability. It is observed that both stabilizing and destabilizing factors due to constant vertical throughflow can be enhanced by rotation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
