Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the growth of aspen and white spruce on naturally saline areas and its significance for developing forest productivity on reclaimed saline soils. It cites the methods used in the study in the saline areas of northern Alberta, such as soil and tree sampling and basal area growth using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Results indicate growth decline in white spruce which also suggests that rooting limitation may restrict forest productivity related to salinity.
