Abstract

The article presents a study on the temporal and spatial distribution of vegetation and soil salinity 10 years after the brine release due to gas well blowout near Fort Nelson, British Columbia in December 1999. It says that soil salinity and vegetation were analyzed through a two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Simpson reciprocal index, and Shannon diversity index. Results show natural recovery from vegetation and soil that were affected by the salinity.
