Abstract
- The article discusses the highlights of a symposium on the anoctamin (TMEM16) gene family that was held in Oxford, England on July 13, 2011. Topics covered include the various electrophysiological properties of the four main splice variants of ANO1 (a, b, c and d). The event was attended by several scientists including Kenton Sanders of the University of Nevada, Ric Boucher of the University of North Carolina and Luis Galietta of the Istituto Giannina Gaslini.
