Abstract

The article presents a study which characterizes and identifies the toxic constituents in a process water that was proven chronically toxic to the daphnid Ceriodaphnia dubia. The study used aerobic sequencing batch reactor, the Continuous Activated Sludge System (CASS), a standard short-term chronic test, and chemical analyses. Results show that the short-term chronic test has confirmed the 100% survival of Ceriodaphnia dubia,
