Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the comparative ovarian pathology of several pesticides, such as methoxychlor, aldrin, and monocrotophos, in Puntius conchonius Hamilton teleost. Study used long-term static bioassays and tap water as a dilution fluid. Study reveals that the concentrations of the pesticides neither caused visible stress nor fish kill in four months experimental period. Study shows that organophosphate pesticides may become hazardous to fish in long period of exposure.
